CUPERTINO CHAPTER

Welcome to the Cupertino Chapter! As an enthusiastic organization of high school students from Cupertino, we are dedicated to fostering a better community through various activities. At the core of our mission is our commitment to serving the diverse needs of our community.

We actively engage in addressing food insecurity by distributing meals to low-income families and offering assistance in meal preparation for the homeless Through our partnership with City Team. We have also created International School Buddies (ISB) to provide essential support to students who have recently immigrated to the USA, aiding them with schoolwork and English language skills. In our efforts to promote environmental sustainability, we collect, sort, and sell recyclables  to help create a healthier environment for all. Lastly, we visit a senior center, which focuses on bridging generational gaps by socializing with seniors through games and discussions on various topics.

Beyond our specific projects, our organization places a strong emphasis on community engagement and leadership development. Through collaborative efforts and proactive involvement, we strive to further our members to become compassionate leaders who drive positive change within our community. Join us as we work together to create a brighter future for Cupertino.

CUPERTINO CHAPTER OFFICERS

Hi, I’m Brandon Lee, and I am the Cupertino Chapter President.

I enjoy interacting with different people through the various activities I have participated in Hwarang. I have taught young kids English and programming, and helped adults communicate more efficiently through English. Additionally, I have visited senior centers to chat with the elderly, and talk about their experiences. Some of the most fun I had in Hwarang was acting as the MC for a raffle, and cosplaying as a penguin at a photo booth during a festival.

Outside of chatting and having fun with other people, I also place heavy importance in creating a more friendly and approachable community. I focus on helping members become closer to each other.
