Guatemala Eye Camp

In addition to the LA eye camp, members have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala where they and a group of doctors visit Guatemala to help the community in need of medical treatments. Similar to the LA Eye camp, members assist doctors in performing checkups and eye cataract surgeries. Each year, they perform over 100 procedures over the course of a week. Members come back to California after positively changing the lives of many with new. Perspectives. Volunteers are given the opportunity to watch doctors perform cataract surgeries, and are given explanations as to what they are doing. This allows members who are interested in the medical field to gain experience in a real world setting.

LA 안과 캠프 외에도 회원들은 의사들과 과테말라에서 치료가 필요한 지역 사회를 돕기 위해 과테말라를 방문할 기회를 갖습니다. LA 안과 캠프랑 비슷하게 회원들은 의사들을 검진과 백내장 수술할때 보조합니다. 매년 일주일 동안 100건이 넘는 시술을 수행합니다. 회원들은 새로운 관점으로 많은 사람들의 삶을 긍정적으로 변화시킨 후 캘리포니아로 돌아옵니다. 자원봉사자에게는 의사가 백내장 수술을 하는 모습을 지켜볼 수 있는 기회가 주어지며, 의사가 하는 일에 대한 설명도 제공됩니다. 이를 통해 의료 분야에 관심이 있는 회원은 실제 환경에서 경험을 쌓을 수 있습니다.
