Hwarang Ramyeon Project For Ukraine
In the shadow of the Ukrainian conflict, a glimmer of hope shines through the efforts of Hwarang International, which recently delivered its fourth batch of ramyeon support to members and students affected by the war. Despite an unexpected delay due to logistical challenges at the Polish border, the support, initially expected in December 2023, has finally arrived, symbolizing international solidarity and resilience.
The initiative, led by Professor Choi Kwang Soon of Dnipro National University of Customs and Finance and supported by President Park Yoon Sook of Hwarang International, along with Hwarang chapters from the United States, showcases the power of collective action. Since the war began in February 2022, Hwarang International has been quick to provide assistance, helping students to continue their education despite the ongoing conflict.
The significance of this support extends far beyond the physical nourishment provided by the ramyeon. It has instilled a sense of hope and strength within the students, with many expressing how knowing they are remembered during such tough times gives them the courage to persevere. They cherish this act of kindness, seeing it as a source of inspiration to make a positive difference in the world.
This project not only highlights the impact of global solidarity but also reminds us of the profound difference a community can make in the lives of those facing adversity. Through their actions, Hwarang International and its supporters have demonstrated the enduring power of compassion and cooperation.
