Hwarang Youth Foundation
Orange County District
About Our District
Hwarang Youth Foundation’s Orange County District consists of the chapters Amerige, Eastland, San Diego, Shilla, Spectrum, Sunnyridge, and Temecula. You can find more about each chapter down below.
Our district is made up of students living in the Orange County area, dedicated to helping our community in various ways. One of our main events has been restoring the Korean American War memorial located in Fullerton. This event displays our efforts and goal of trying to maintain and honor our Korean American identity, which is a big part of what Hwarang stands for.
Members have contributed to many individual chapter events over the past year as well, Temecula chapter cleaning their Kkotdongnae park, pairing with Mercy House to provide sandwiches for the unhoused, Walking Buddies event where members in San Diego go on walks in parks with people with disablities, and many, many more. We also have fundraising events to help raise money for cataract eye surgeries in Guatemala.
Though some of our districts are far from our headquarters in LA, each chapter has shown effort and commitment to showing up and having a high participation percentage. We make sure that each individual has an opportunity to grow and improve as a leader in a community that is warm and welcoming for everyone.
Our goal is to raise leaders of the future but also to brighten and serve our community as best as we can! Everyone is welcome to our district and we are excited to see how our district will grow!
