70th Anniversary of the Korean American Alliance Cultural Event
To celebrate the Korean American Cultural Alliance, Hwarang members were gifted with a privilege to attend the exchange of two different cultures. In preparation for the event, members prepared by rehearsing and wearing Korean traditional clothing. Throughout the event, Hwarang members were able to witness and participate in various activities such as the Tea Ceremony, and the performance from the Nanta Team. Furthermore, the members were able to hear from the veterans who served our country. In the Tea Ceremony, the audience witnessed Korea's culture which demonstrated the process of young adults becoming an official adult. The Nanta team also performed along with a joyful version of Korea’s traditional song, Arirang. Members and audiences were able to learn a brief history of the Korean American alliance along with important people who devoted their life to further develop the alliance of two nations. After a great learning experience, members, wearing Korea’s traditional clothes (Hanbok), were provided with great foods which they enjoyed and served as a special experience. In the end, the members were able to return home with new knowledge of the cultural alliance between Korea and the United States. They all felt a sense of pride for their countries and nationality as well.
